This is a very beautifully textured stone shaped carefully and accented by the gold scroll work around it.  It is carefully set with twi rubys on either side of a white sapphire at the top left, and a garnet being cradeled to the main stone by a leaf rounding the bottom. This is a good example of our ability to set more obscurely shapped stones into place and give them a place in the piece with artisticly implied lines and shank.
